Happy Birthday, Sister Sue!
It's hard to believe that my sister Sue has passed on. I'm sitting on the sofa in our living room and looking at a photo of my sister.
Susie, Marilyn and I miss you!
What an amazing person my older sister was (hard not to say is).
Marilyn (the 'baby' sister) and I went to great lengths to provide a very detailed (and expensive) obituary for Sue. (She totally deserved it.)
Forgive me if I make mistakes in this entry — I'm still making errors due to my Stroke (from the middle of last year). I'm getting better (thankfully!), but it's still a struggle. Eventually I'll be to normal (I hope!), but meanwhile I do my best...
Back to Sue! She was born on January 31, 1943 (and died on June 29, 2023), at the age of 80. I can't believe she's been gone so long. She was a vibrant and fascinating person. And loads of FUN, too!
Marilyn and I have several photos of her around our home. It makes me happy to see them.
Reading her obituary reminds me of her huge list of accomplishments. Dang, what a women!
When our beloved friend Mitch passed away, Sue, Marilyn and I would go for dinner to 'celebrate' him (they was only the three of us left to remember him). We'd have a meal out, and drink some beers and toast him.
Tonight, Marilyn and I will do something in memory of our sister Sue. It's hard to believe she's gone.
It's hard to believe how many people we've lost.
Thankfully we still have friends and relatives who are with us. I pray that we will keep our loved ones around us for as long as we can. (I don't dare to do the list of losses, as it's too difficult to face — even though we all know it's inevitable, as no one can live forever! But, my, how much harder it becomes...)
Happy Birthday, sister Sue. I hope you're enjoying cribbage (and other fun activities) with your friends and family members in heaven.
Marilyn and I love you, sister...
