About Charles J. Argento

Charles J Argento

Houston Personal Injury Attorney | Admitted to Bar 1988 | South Texas College of Law J.D.

Charles J. Argento has represented injured people in Houston, Texas, since 1988, with more than three decades of courtroom experience in personal injury cases involving car accidents, truck crashes, workplace injuries, motorcycle collisions, wrongful death, and catastrophic harm. What separates his practice from other Houston personal injury attorneys is what he did before he started fighting for injured victims: he spent the early years of his career defending insurance companies.

That experience changed how he practices law. Charles sat at the defense table long enough to learn exactly how insurance adjusters are trained to minimize claims, how defense lawyers build arguments to reduce settlements, and what moves insurance companies make before your attorney even picks up the phone. Today, every one of those tactics is something his clients’ opponents will try, and he already knows how to stop them.

“The insurance company’s attorney is not your friend. Their job is to pay you as little as possible. My job is to make sure that does not happen.”

Why Charles J. Argento Fights for Houston Injury Victims

Most personal injury attorneys know only one side of an insurance dispute: the plaintiff’s side. Charles J. Argento knows both. Before representing injured clients, he worked as a defense attorney for insurance companies operating in Texas. He learned their playbooks, their tactics, and the internal pressure they put on adjusters to close claims for less than they are worth.

When Charles switched sides, he brought all of that knowledge with him. He knows when an insurance company is making a lowball offer because the adjuster sees a weakness in your case. He knows when a recorded statement request is designed to trip you up. He knows the arguments defense attorneys build around pre-existing conditions, disputed fault percentages, and delayed treatment gaps, because he used to make those arguments himself.

That is the advantage Charles brings to every case he takes in Houston. Insurance companies cannot surprise him with tactics he helped develop.
