High School problems....
Ugh.. having problems with my daughters' high school. This guy in Brenda's gym class keeps assaulting her - first he grabbed her rear while pretending to read the back of her shirt to get around behind her (he grabbed her all the way up to her crotch, she said), then today he pushed her into a corner and was touching her and saying "What are you going to do about it?" , and when another girl came over to help Brenda, he touched her too. She was too upset/embarassed about it to say anything at the time (or to tell us about the prior incidents until just now).
So today when she came home and told me about this, I called the school and told them about it. I was referred to the Vice Principal's office. His secretary said he was in a meeting, she'd take my name and number and have him call me back as soon as he came out of the meeting. I waited. And waited. And... finally, called them back. Turned out he was given my message, he ignored it, and instead chose to just go home for the day. That made me very upset. The secretary said that Brenda could go into the office tomorrow morning and that the VP would 'likely do something about it then'. I asked if I could/should file a police report, and she said that since Brenda only knew the boy's first name it was unlikely a report could be filed until they know the boy's full name. They have a state trooper at the school, she said, who would be brought in to the situation tomorrow if needed.
I'm very angry and upset with the way this is being handled and that this occurs in school in the first place. Where was the teacher while this was going on, that's one of many things I'd like to know. Also, why did the vice principal not take the two minutes or so that it would have taken to call me back and assure me that they were taking this seriously and would do something about it?
