The 'verse
Aus is doing fairly well with his job so far, though his feet are hurting. He needs a new pair of shoes, I think- definitely something to add to the list of things to purchase when he gets a paycheck.
Yesterday was a busy day- first I had the poetry reading at Cherry Hill Library, which is always fun. One of the ladies there played a funny song on a mountain dulcimer. It was really nice! I wish I could play an instrument. After, my family took me out for dinner (me, mom, Uncle Leon, Aunt Marie and cousin Sherry). We went to TGIF where I enjoyed the food very much, but it was entirely too loud and crowded. Then I picked up Aus from work, and we went over Drew's house for D&D. This week we had movie night, watching the Dungeons and Dragons movies. Christine gave me some spiffy pairs of shoes that she found on freecycle for me, speaking of shoes. And their kitty is getting so big! It's neat to think that we were there the night she was born and she was tiny-tiny-tiny at first.
Picked up some Serenity stuff thanks to receiving an Amazon gift certificate from Kev - got the RPG, movie novelization, and visual companion. Looking forward to reading all those- the first two have already arrived.
Today my brother is coming over and we're going on a train trip! He says there's a historic line that they just reopened that goes from Richland to Tuckahoe. I love trains.
