My Day- whee! A normal entry.

Today I ate lunch at the brick oven cafe again, and was talking to the guy who owns the place. He was telling me about the pictures on the wall, and gave me the grand tour- apparently, he's not Italian at all, he's from Greece. He showed me the picture of him and his family in Greece, and then told me about how his daughter in law is Italian, and since Hammonton is an Italian town, he used her last name for the cafe and cooks Italian food. And man, can that Greek guy cook Italian! He showed me other pictures, including one of Theodore Roosevelt making a speech from the back of a train at the Hammonton station. Apparently, Ronald Reagan wasn't the only president to come to Hammonton, despite what they told us when we got to meet him when I was in high school.

I had to do a lot of shopping today- Steve needed sculpty clay for his school project, and I needed groceries. While at Wal-Mart, I bought myself some drawing pencils and a little figure mannequin to further my delusion that I can develop artistic ability. Go me! I wound up buying two varieties of diet ice cream this time- Weight watchers creamciles and chocolate mouse bars. They're both only one point each on the diet for each bar, and you get twelve in the package, so even if you go nuts and eat them all you're still not over your points for the day. And they're rather tasty. At the grocery store, I bought the novelization of Chaos Bleeds, also.

When I got home, I made some Angel icons...

I didn't quite have time to make Jenn's Oz icons- but tomorrow morning I have nada planned other than making them, so I should have them done by then.

I found my favorite pajamas yesterday. They'd been eaten by the bed.

Way back in our family tree, we've got a chick named Vambeline Varner who was born in Luray Virginia. I have the odd urge to find out more about her, like why on earth she was named that, and what people called her.

My toe is still ingrown, though it's somewhat better. This is the longest ingrown toenail I've ever had. As long as it's not about to fall off though, I don't need to go to a doctor. Really.
