I haven't felt much like writing in my journal lately, or keeping up with communities lately. Truth is, life has been a little on the suck side.
There've been some very annoying people playing our Legend of the Green Leupak game who thought it funny to post about their characters running around naked because they lacked the imagination to realize that their characters wear clothing under the armor. This got even more irritating when they linked naked pictures of their characters onto
leup We're trying to keep this a family game. Sure, there's a few 'suggestive' monsters, but it's rated Teen so to speak, not Mature. No naked character pictures.
I'm also annoyed at the DMV. They're trying to charge me for a ticket I got back in 1997... which I paid for in 1997, but they failed to register, so I had to re-pay in 2001 along with a restoration fee for my accidentally suspended license. Now they're trying to say my license is suspended again, and re-charging me for the SAME DAMN TICKET (plus restoration fee, of course). I'm highly pissed off. They're "looking into the matter" but in the meantime, I've got to keep driving and hope for the best. I hate the government sometimes.
The kids school has already started soaking us for money. So far, the girls need 'special gym uniforms' to 'prepare them for high school gym classes'. They cost 15 dollars per uniform. They also (even though they're only in 7th grade) need scientific calculators. They have to be TI-34 types, which not surprisingly can be purchased from the teacher for 16 dollars each. Even though they live in the same household and have math different periods, they're not allowed to share. Several teachers also required specific types of binders (Not the zipper one!) that were to be used only for that class.. so now they're carrying a ridiculous amount of binders to and from school instead of one trapper keeper. I also need a copy of Steve's shot record so I can send him to the doctor for his booster shot... and I requested this Monday. I still don't have it, and had to cancel his doctor's appointment because of it. I also hate schools.
Other things I hate? People who pull passive aggressive bullshit. Like last night when Rick wanders into the chat we're having about the game logistics of LoGL and has a little whinefest because he doesn't understand what's going on, trying to make us feel guilty for not stopping our conversation and going assbackwards out of our way to welcome him. Not that we don't like him (Okay, we don't really dislike him. He's just kind of... there).. but we were busy. And he could have just asked what we were talking about.
I could go on... but let's just suffice it to say this week has been kind of BLAH.
