The Fourth Child
My mother (age 74) is so like having a fourth child. Today, Brenda called Grandma 'stupid' while having a temper tantrum, so I grounded her for the day. Instead of that being the end of it, my mother (the supposed adult) went on for hours about how disrespectful it was, and screaming at Brenda whenever Brenda tried to say she was sorry, and saying "Now I'm not going to buy you anything, or talk to you ever again." and so on. It's like having a fourth child- she's petty, jealous, childish, throws temper tantrums, wants everything her way....
When I pointed out that Jeanette had said "Shut up, I don't have to listen to you" the other day (to me), my mother was just like 'Well, that's different. She was talking to you, not me."
Why am I related to these people again?
