Are you Addicted to the Internet?
Because they need to categorize everything, some anal people (probably psychologists) have come up with a little acronym to determine whether or not you're an internet addict. Not surprisingly, it's called MOUSE. Because we all know, mice are the source of 90% of internet troubles. Really.
Anyhow, here it is:
UF researchers presented five questions to help practitioners get a sense of their patients' Internet use. The points revolve around the acronym MOUSE:
More than intended time spent online
Other responsibilities neglected
Unsuccessful attempts to cut down
Significant relationship discord because of use
Excessive thoughts or anxiety when not online.
From here
According to this, I'm not addicted to the internet, so go me! I do spend a lot of time here, but I also attend to the offline things I need or want to do, and my relationships (quite obviously) don't suffer from this. So hah! I'm not a MOUSE.
