Mongo Has Friends
Every summer, I put my houseplants out on the porch so that they can experience the great outdoors and get fresh rainwater. It really makes them grow a lot. My favorite plant is Mongo- I have no idea what kind of plant he is. He started out as a scrubby little fellow, less than half a foot tall. Now he's as tall as the porch railing- almost as tall as the kids- and he's got a trunk like thing at the bottom (he's a tree? Who knew!)
Other than his usual friend, the Pink Plastic Flamingo, Mongo seems to have collected a few more buddies. Growing in his pot, he has a clover, and some other weird plant that we don't recognize- but it's got really pretty leaves.You can't see them in this picture- they're recent additions. Mongo himself is still getting plenty of new leaves growing on top, so he's not suffering from having buddies. So I guess I'll let them co-habitat unless Mongo's health starts to suffer.
