Various Thoughts
Kids are kind of on the rampage today- they're busy whining and fighting and inhabiting my personal space. Kind of irritating, really- I can't wait for school to start again. I'm tired of having to deal with this every day. And because it's hot, they don't even want to leave the house... they just want to sit and fight and it's getting to the point that I want to just toss 'em all out and lock the door. There's sprinklers out there and the lake right down the block- they're 12, 12 and 10. They can handle it.
Hahah.. remember the saga of the mailbox? Well, my mother just suckered my brother Ron into taking her to return the MailMaster Classic Pro so that she can have a 'bigger, better' mailbox- despite the fact that he proved to her that her books (and his head) could fit inside of it. I just grinned evilly at him on the way out and gave him that knowing saying "Have fun." Your turn to suffer, bro!
I joined like three tons of pirate communities today because I feel like promoting
wayside this week to see if we can drum up some more pirates while the ship is in a port town. Also joined that community promo thing to promote all my communities, just 'cause.
Added some new people to my friends list because they're interesting.
I've been getting a lot of positive feedback over my last two poems- really makes me feel good. Go me! My poetry writing will slow down muchly in September, though- because when the kids go back to school I'll have time for novel writing again. Muhaha. I can't wait to return to it.
