This is a song about the way things are...

Well, I was having a good day- but when Aus called at lunch, he was having a bad day, and that made me rather sad. His bosses are apparently being rather snappy, nasty and cranky because it's almost inventory time. Blargh. He can't even get off work early today by cashing in his overtime- he has to stay all the way till seven.

Then we found out my brother Joe cashed the check that he wasn't supposed to cash till tomrrow (grrr) and our bank account went wayyy down, because the big check we deposited Saturday didn't clear yet. Fortunately, that'll clear tomorrow, but still.

I got what I hope are the numbers I need from my brother's wife so that Aus can finish fixing the old machine tonight. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Maybe tomorrow, Aus and I should go and spend the day somewhere nice, away from it all. Perhaps I'll see if he wants to take a trip down to the shore.
