Was about to post this writing challenge to the writer's forum, when it... well, died. Thank you server, grr. I'm posting it here because I'm too lazy to save it in a separate file, and post it later. Besides, I'm likely to be out.
So if any of our mods see this and it's not up in Just Write yet, please feel free to post it for me, with a nice big sticky topic tab and add it to the news fader. If not, I'll get to it when I get home.

Yeah, well... these were supposed to be weekly. But you know how my life gets...well, if you don't, just fill in the word 'chaotic' here and nod along.
The point of this exercise is to use all five senses to describe each thing on the list. Try to use words that evoke strong reactions in a reader (For example, 'the acrid, citric smell of an orange' is a more vivid description than 'smells orangey'). In some cases, you'll really have to use your imagination- what is the smell of water, for example? The taste of air?

Sight
Sound
Taste
Smell
Feel
The Items:
A baseball
A kitten
Air
Water
An Orange
An Onion
Love
Hate
Peace
War
Optional: Write a descriptive paragraph (with any words or subject you choose) that involves all five senses. Limit yourself to just that one paragraph.
