Monday monday...
Have to go shopping today for the wonder that is groceries. Taking my mother with me to get her groceries- she's a bit cranky today due to backache. Imagine my joy.
I talked to Josh for a while online yesterday- got messaged by Meg while I was passing by the computer on my way to finish kicking family arse at Scrabble. He is apparently on his way back home to California, so hopefully he'll be around more. I told him that he shouldn't be such a bum and should send me a post card, hehe. Don't know if he will or not, but hey. At least he said he missed me. That was spiff.
My big computer is being a bitch today- something about the Noton System Works that Aus had to re-install made it cranky last night. So I'm on the little computer, and hopefully, he can fix it when he comes home tonight. I can't wait until our tax check comes and we can pick up another new machine, and shuffle everyone one computer to the left so to speak, hehe. Come to think of it, I really should give my laptop to one of the kids to use for their schoolwork - I haven't used it for months and months, and it's just sort of sitting around.
It's becoming spring in my Animal Crossing game! You wouldn't believe how cute everything there looks now- all the trees are green and little butterflies are flying around. Animal Crossing is one of my all time favorite games. I think right now my other favorite game is Mario Party 4- I've been enjoying playing that with Aus, becuase we can play in a team against the computer, and it's got so many cute minigames. I'm also fond of Super Smash Brothers, and Gauntlet: Dark Legacy as far as games go. Sims for PS2- there's a game I have and should play more. I got frustrated with controling my little family one day, and I haven't played since, but I keep meaning to. I also want to play with my Sims on the computer someday soon- I haven't played with them for ages, and I really like to. Not to meantion, there's a new Sims expansion pack coming out in the spring.
I've started reading Son of a Grifter about two days ago, and I'm already over half the way through, because I've been finding time to read it. It's really, really good. If you like true life stories about strange and disturbed people, you'll enjoy this book. I'm really amazed at some of the things this woman got away with. After this book, I'll probably read Dream West. I want to order some books sometime this month though- some more Buffy books, and the book that the Nation States website stems from, Jennifer Government.
Aus drew three more Rufus the Tulip comics. He'll probably work them out in MS Paint sometime this week. They're really cute. He also did a review for the reviews section of Lab Arc we're trying to put together. The site revamp is a slow business at best, but Ry's got the basic template done, and it looks good. We should impliment it soon. Hopefully, sometime this month, there'll be a new Jesus comic, too- because Jesus is funny.
I want to work on some 'venture stuff when I get home from the grocery shopping today. Ideally, if all goes well, I'll find some quality time to work on my novel this week. It's just right about at the exciting chase sceen (which features Aaron driving, gods help the poor characters), and the whole Charlie issues thing... (poor guy is such this book's little bitch). So I'm all psyched about writing this, I just have to find the quality alone and quiet time I need to do so. It's been hard with all the snowdays kids have been getting, and al the places my mother wants to be chauferred to, to find good blocks of time in which to write.
