Changelog #71

2/2-2/13

What is new

  • Workforce has been added to our Provider Network as an automated provider supporting Org & Pay data.
  • SSN is now supported for Square Payroll.
  • SSN, Ethnicity, Gender, and Manager ID are now supported for Toast Payroll.

What has improved

  • We improved the Finch Connect experience for Workday! We’ve split authentication into multiple steps that match the Workday flow, with anchor links to our authentication guide. These improvements should make it easier and faster for clients to connect their Workday accounts. See a quick demo of the updated flow here.
  • We've fixed inconsistencies in how employee statuses are reported on Paychex (credential & API), Justworks, and Workday. These changes ensure is_active and employment_status fields accurately reflect employee states.
    • Employees on leave now correctly show as is_active: true with employment_status reflecting their specific leave type (previously marked as is_active: false)

Changelog #70

1/19-1/30

What is new

  • WinTeam and Workforce have been added to our Provider Network in beta.

  • We now support off-cycle payroll files for FIS Relius. Finch will generate and deliver the off-cycle file to Relius, and you’ll complete a few manual steps to import it. Find detailed instructions in our Help Center.

What has improved

  • We've fixed inconsistencies in how employee statuses are reported across multiple integrations. These changes ensure is_active and  employment_status fields accurately reflect employee states.
    • BambooHR & Paycor: Future-dated employees now return employment_status: prehire
    • Paycor & Quickbooks: Employees on leave now correctly show as is_active: true with employment_status reflecting their specific leave type (previously marked as is_active: false)
  • We’ve added pagination to the Connections view in the Finch Dashboard, which should reduce lag and improve load times.
  • We resolved a temporary gap in connection history for active and disconnected connections due to an internal migration. Connection counts and dates now reflect the full historical record.

  • Payday Payroll is now automated! Org and Payroll endpoints are available.

What has improved
