Publisher Description
CodeWorks is a compact but powerful programmers’ code database that makes it easy to store, organize and find code samples, tips and routines. CodeWorks uses a simple tree layout for stored items and lets you assign a name and keywords to each item stored.
Stored items are grouped in three levels: Languages, Categories and Code Items. Start by creating a Language heading (such as JavaScript), and then add Category sections to it (such as Date/Time and String Routines). Finally, add Code Items to the appropriate Categories.
This method of organization makes it easy to store code for many separate programming and coding languages and find what you want quickly and easily. CodeWorks also includes a flexible search function that lets you restrict your search to a particular language or code category, run boolean searches (AND/OR/NOT), and keep the results of multiple searches open for as long as you need them.
Code items are displayed in separate windows which have their own button on the Windows taskbar. This allows you to keep several code items open at once, minimize them rather than closing them if you need to refer to them again later, and copy code between them.
Editing a code item is as easy as editing a text file: just make the required changes and click Save. You can also copy code items into different category or language sections by simply dragging items in the tree, copy code items to the clipboard with one click, or export them to file.
