Bach, Mozart, Voltaire! It's MUSIC DOWNLOAD DAY!
Okay, I love Bach. And Chopin. And Beethoven. A lot. I've been on a HUGE classical downloading spree which explains my first two selections for you, my precious friend's list, tonight!
Cello Suite No. 1, 1 Prelude

Because this guy kicks some serious ass. I honestly think between stuff like this and Fugue in D Minor he's my favorite classical composer. I'm sure you've all heard this, but neverthless it's absolutely gorgoues and deserves to be on your computer. Plus this particular copy is performed by Yo Yo Ma. Need I say anymore? YO YO MA!
An exert from "The 7th Symphony"

An exert since it would kill poor yousendit in it's entirety. This is just gorgeous and reminds me why Mozart is so damn famous. You may say "too many notes", but I personally think it's beautiful! ^___^
I have also recently discovered the band Voltaire. I noticed their name when I was downloading classical pieces and was all like: "OMG. Bands named after French Philosophers!? I am SO there!!!" So I went a-looking and was confronted with... BRILLIANCE! ABSOLUTE, UNDILUTED BRILLIANCE! I URGE ALL OF YOU TO GO DOWNLOAD SONGS BY VOLTAIRE IMMEDIATELY! Their music has double value- it's lovely sounding, first of all, with some of the best violin solos in modern music, like, EVAR! (especially in the first one I'm giving you guys tonight). Plus their lyrics are absolutely HILARIOUS. The first song by them had this hugely ornate, beautiful gothic violin solo at the beginning so I was expecting something... ornate and gothic. o__O And then the singing started and I nearly fell off my chair laughing.
Anyways, here's the two best ones I've found so far. I hope you enjoy! ^___^

Well. This song... is incredible. You know all those stupid things that make you ashamed to call yourself Christian? Or if you aren't Christian, all those stupid things people do that make you wary of the religion? Yeah, well that's what this song is about. I was just kind of listening to it and going: "Wow, this sounds like I wrote it." o__O I'm sure many of you may connect with it in the same way. So, basically a critism on people who "use God's name for their own agenda". Brilliant and stuff.
