Why is my journal always in "Read Only" mode when I'm doing layout stuff??
Whoo. Power outage = no school = six hour RISK game. Life is good.
I really hate the emotional effect this song has on me. I went through a classical music downloading binge and happened upon this- which is a beautiful song, but listening to it nearly brings me to tears thanks to the ending of FMA. *sigh* I find my own fangirling nature to be rather pathetic...
WEEKLY DOWNLOAD!
On time this week.
My Skin
by Natalie Merchant
Not terribly rare, but this is a beautiful song that most of you probably haven't heard. It's quiet and full of understated pain. It's almost the same kind of bitterness as Rose Red, but the hurt here runs much deeper and is a sort of... mellowed pain I suppose. There is a certain feeling one gets from listening to this song that is empty, but at the same time full of life aching to burst to the surface. Wow, I'm sucking at explaining this. Short version: It's good. Download it.
My Home Sweet Home
by Nobuo Uematsu from Final Fantasy V
Anyone remember that REALLY pretty music from Final Fantasy V? Didn't think so. Well, there is this really gorgeous FFV track that's all sad and medievil and played on one of those fifteenth century harpsicords. For anyone who knows the game, it's the music that plays when the Hero goes back to his home village and sees the flashback about his parents. This is a vocal version of the song- filled with lots of pretty Engrish and general awsomeness. It's sounds like some pretty ballad a trabadour would sing back in the middle ages- the kind that fills you with hope despite the fact that it's a very solemn tune.
(As usual) PLEASE comment if you download so I can keep track of whether the links go down or not. ^__^ Enjoy and comment if one of the links goes down before you can grab the song!
Random: How the HELL did a racoon get into the ceiling? Goddamnit, I hate this building. >___
