I continue to wish Hannah a Happy Birthday!
Whew. I haven't updated in a while. I've been feeling somewhat internet antisocial... I've been feeling somewhat antisocial in general, come to think of it. I've been... emotionally ill lately I suppose.
I've had a decent weekend though. Lots of GOOD balance out by some major angst-inducing stresses. Hannah threw a birthday party on Fri. night which was so much fun. We re-enacted 'The Wizard of Oz', played Clue and then stayed up until 5AM (which might account for why I am so blearingly T I R E D right now). Gregory taught me how to play chess and then proceeded to kick my ass three times in a row. And I mean BRUTALLY kick my ass. But that's okay, because if he had gone easy on me, I'd never learn. I'd like to get good at chess though. As Rebecca said- I'm an intellectual and intellectuals should know how to play chess.
Today I went shopping with Cat.
Money = ugh
I hate it.
Anyways, I suppose the shopping went well. Any anger I might have been harbouring about anything was erased because Cat was like: "Well, I have money and you have a birthday." And then she bought me Naruto, which makes me happy. So now I own volume 3. of Naruto. w00t?
Speaking of which... I honestly don't think the newest chapter could have gotten any slashier if it had been a fanfic. I mean... no, I don't mean anything. I have no need to rationalize myself. Kishimoto is a yaoi fanboy and that's the end of it. There is no other way to explain it. What with all the longing gazes, random dramatic rain and the: "Naruto... I..." You what? Finish you sentences, Sasuke, or the fan girls will finish them for you. *blink* Nevertheless, I still want to know what happened to Chouji and Neji. T___T
I bought myself a new sketchbook today. I was thoroughly distressed to find that there were no Strathford 9x12 Recycled-Paper sketchbooks. Grr. So I settled for a Carson 9x12 (since it was the ONLY 9x12 coiled sketchbook THERE >_<) on NON Recycled paper. *Le Sigh* Well, it's really soft paper (really, it feels nice if you rub it on your cheek ^_^), so I'm assuming that it will be good for coloring at the very least. Smudge-resistance and inking may not be so great though. Maybe I should just go draw in it instead of angsting. I'm stuck with it for fifty pictures anyways...
Jenn Scanned Stuff!!!!!
... finally. My site's still down, but I'm going to make a new layout um, eventually. *cough*
Dreamscar
I somehow produced this from a distracted and very messy sketch of Evil!Rhapsody I did during a particularily distressing school assembly. The totally unreadable lyrics are from 'Kinslayer' by Nightwish and 'Once in a Lifetime' by Sarah Brightman. Everyone I've shown this picture to has randomly loved Omoidasu's eye (the gold eye on the right).
Gothic Omoidasu
I had fun drawing this totally over the top gothic rendition of Omoidasu. OMG, top hats are the shiznit, yo. ^____^ I drew this for Caily to go with the Gothic Julidan Leslie drew for her. I like the fact that the color of Omoidasu's eyes showed up decently- they usually don't in these kinds of pictures.
Omoidasu and Julidan ala Goth
I drew this for Leslie. She wanted Julidan and Omoidasu being, um, slashy. *cough* And since I liked the Gothic outfits so much, this kind of happened. Yes, I know Omoidasu's hand is backwards. Shut up. It still looks nice. I think I'd like to draw Gothic versions of other Ryuuguu characters... Marie and Altair especially. ^_^
The Naruto Doodles
Jenn gets bored in school. And she likes Naruto.
Sasuke drama queening it up...
After witnessing Sasuke's transformation, I couldn't resist...
Neji's got a hole in him, Sasuke's wearing lipstick and I like cup noodles almost as much as Naruto does...
Julidan - by Dawn
I didn't draw this but, OMG. It was an early birthday gift from my friend Dawn and I just have to show it off because wowowowowowowowow. It's Julidan! Which automatically makes it kick ass. But it's so... this picture is just GORGEOUS. *swoons and dies* Ryuuguu fanart makes Jenn Le Happy. *hugs picture*
And then...
We continue with what I was talking about before.
I went to the Dinner theater with Adam, Justin, Caily, Leslie and Lici tonight (well, since it's past midnight, it was technically LAST NIGHT, but meh). It was ABSOLUTELY MARVELOUS. Wonderful atmosphere, DELiCIOUS food and spetacular live entertainment. I sound like a walking billboard right now, but OMG was it ever good. The Dinner Theater does three different shows a year, and I think that I want to see all of them from this point on.
The show we saw was called 'The Codfather'. I mean, come ON it was a spoof of 'The Godfather' which happens to be one of my favorites movies of all time! Not only was it a spoof of 'The Godfather', it was a spoof of 'The Godfather' about the CAPE BRETON MOB. And the Don (complete with his Marlon Brando-esque accent) was our waiter. ^__________^
I can't say too much about the show itself, since it didn't exactly have a coherent plot. It was a very well structered comedy act with musical numbers interspersed (is that a word? I don't think so) featuring vaguely Godfather-like characters and situations (Micheal and Kay's marital issues, Sonny's temper). The music was REALLY random, but just... yeah. That place has talent out the wazoo. It was actually kind of depressing watching seven people make 'Oldest Established' (from Guys and Dolls) sound better than our entire High School cast. o.O;;
As for the food. Best salmon I've had since I ate at uncle Kirk's restaraunt.
Well, this has been a surprisingly long entry. I'm going to stop writing now and go to sleep. No, wait. That was a lie. My Dad's not home tonight, so I'm a bit edgy about being home alone in my apartment. I actually went and turned on the TV in my Dad's room so that it looks like he's home. yup, Jenn's pathetic. Wheee. I'll be lucky if I get ANY sleep tonight. >___
