Screw being Friends-Only. I'm not a very private person and I never will be. -.-;;
... plus it's just too much damn work. Not like I write anything personal enough in this journal to be concerned, and if I do I lock the post anyways. o.O
I went to Open Mic Nite for the first time in what feels like a million years last night. I just read my Chaucer-themed English Assignement (whee, I'm cheap), but got my typically good reception. Rebecca sang "Angel From Montgomery" and wisked me up on stage to play Roger in "Warm Up #1". There was an excellent folk singing duo, and... yup, every performence except mine was singing. o.O
I think Rebecca and I might be doing a duet this summer- "America" from RENT. However, we'd have to do a lot of practicing, since we'd have to adjust the parts slightly to suit our voices. Rebecca might do fine, but Mark's part is most definitely not an operatic soprano... sometimes I really resent my singing voice. -.-;;
Internet Update: I'M GETTING INTERNET TOMMOROW!!!!!!!!!!!
*ahem*
I'm also going to go see the school musical with Rebecca and Margaret. I know, I hate West Side Story and I hate most of the people in the musical, but apparently it's worth seeing because Anita is really, really good and it'll be funny seeing the audience cringe at Tara's voice like they apparently did at the dress rehersal yesterday. ^_____^
Am I vindictive? Hell yeah!
Oh! Oh! Oh! If any of you like musicals, be sure to check out music from the show Wicked. It's a prequel to The Wizard of Oz and the tunes are SO catchy. Especially be sure to find "Defying Gravity". It's one of the best musical numbers I've heard in a long time. Really.
... man, I'm sure a musical geek. o.O
