I just read an interesting book called 'The Wave'.

Interesting, because it should have been good, but it wasn't. It was based on a true story about a school in the 1960's where a history teacher conducted an experiement to show students what living in Nazi Germany was really like. But the book was written like it was trying to appeal to a teenage audience, so instead of really focusing on the seriousness and levity of the subject it was pursuing, it spent too much time with the main character (who was bland and annoying) and her almost immediete negative reaction to The Wave. No part of the book had any real impact on me, which is disturbing, since the thought of a mini-fascist empire rising in a regular, North American high school is disturbing. Talk about a book dereft of feeling.

So I feel empty now. BUT I did discover that I can go on the internet with my cell phone. I was reading fanfiction and checking my lj friends list on my cell phone. How cool is that?
