So I wasted a bunch of time re-reading pretty much all of ElfQuest that's worth reading aaaand- I finally got my hands on that album of ElfQuest music WaRP put out, like, forever ago (can something be official "filk"?).
In summation, the internet is a wonderful thing and as I have illegally downloaded this shiny bit of fandom so I will illegally share it with you, flist. The few of you who have actually read EQ, that is. :P

You wouldn't have had to tell me this song was written by Mercedes Lackey- it is so typically her. Actually, I think that Caily might have had this song on one of her old burnt Valdemar CD's not realizing it was an ElfQuest song. Either way, it's creepy and solemn and awesome.

I think it's fair to say that Winnowill is a "crazy bag of snakes". I mean, in the strictest, most literal sense. But her issues were really interesting back in the days before she became a cartoon villain. :P

This is one of my favourite songs on the album by far. It's really fucking intense. Y'know, like Strongbow is. Although considering he never actually speaks, shouldn't this song lack the verbal component. I MEAN. IF WE WANT TO BE TRUE TO CANON AND ALL.

I kind of like how while the majority of songs on this album clock in at under three minutes, Skywise's song is like SEVEN MINUTES LONG. It's a pretty sweet deal all this preferential treatment he gets, I mean, considering Wendy was originally going to kill him off something like eight issues in. *tries to imagine the rest of ElfQuest without Skywise. Fails. Miserably*

I randomly love Lord Voll. I don't know what it was about him- he was a placid non-entity for most of the arc he appeared in, but there was just something hauntingly beautiful and sad about him that I loved. I guess it's just a testament to Wendy's ability to draw fully realized characters in only a few panels.

I don't... uh, I don't really think this was much of a love triangle, but okay. o_O I didn't even know what panels to use for this because there was so much loveliness in the rather disturbing and awkward mating of Tyldak and Dewshine. This is another obvious Misty track. ♥I MEAN WHAT I AM NOT SHOWING MY SHAMEFUL MERCEDES LACKEY LOVE AT ALL

I know this song is about when Leetah kills for the first time, but I still think that her success at healing One-Eye's soulless body was one of the most fucked up things in the entire series. And probably something that affected her far more than killing ever did.
It was the excitement: If I'd thought, I'd not have moved.
I guess killing's like that. It's an end, not a tool.

Kahvi's pretty awesome. I don't really have much else to say on the subject. Except about her awesomeness.
