Satellite Shortworks was SO much fun. And the people there are awesome on top of it all. I was terrified that they'd be these goth-punk, faux-mizerable idiots who just wrote a lot of depressing, empty poetry and stories about people who think they're wiccan.
Topic Change! Watch out for Whiplash!
We're starting to get these uber-ice storms lately. The typical winter weather for our province- six feet of snow over the course of the day and it's all gone by the time we wake up. -.-;;
The weather was just miserable yesterday. On top of it, the bus was fifteen minutes late. !!. I got absolutely soaked head to TOE waiting for it in sub zero temperature and really strong winds. I kept seeing a fake newspaper headline flashing in my head:
"Teenage Girl Freezes to Death at Bus Stop!"
Metro Transit begins to rethink public tansport system
But Leslie, Adam, Caily, Natasha and Colin skipped the afternoon, so we all hung out in the cafe and... uh... chilled. ^ ^;;
On top of it all, none of the bus students came up today so everyone skipped again (plus Rebecca, Gregory, Lici and some cool guy I don't know, minus Caily). So the last two days have been fun. Tommorow I have to do housework though, so I think I'm getting a bit ahead of myself. -.-;;
BUT... we're going to see LoTR: Return of the King tommorow!
We waited a bit long to get our tickets this year. The _latest_ show Caily's mom could get was 4:45.
!!
4:45!? Man, where's the drama in THAT!
Well, at least we got in. Gregory (that smarmy bastard) got free tickets in an uncrowded theater at 7 o'clock. He deserved all those DVD-case beatings I gave him today.
Random
I picke dup my Alto Saxaphone today and discovered that after a six month hiatus from even thinking about playing, I'm still REALLY good at it. o.O Go figure, huh? I put down the old violin for a WEEK and my finger patterns go all weird on me. *sigh*
So I'm going to bring the saxaphone to Adam and Justin's this weekend (whee!). The party is going to be SO MUCH FUN! I cannot wait! We're going to make ginger-bread castles, have a snow ball fight, sing Christmas carols and watch bad movies.
Okay, well the one bad movie. Caily's mom took me and her to Roger's this Friday night and we bought a ton of really random used films (I picked up 'End of Eva'. FINALLY!). I convinced Caily to buy this totally random Chinese film called 'Storm Riders' which was apparently a box office hit in Hong Kong. It looks like one of those movies that aren't really very good, but if you're the one who discovered it, you love it unconditionally.
Sort of like Galerians: ASH was for Leslie and I. Except that Galerians is a game and isn't really BAD per say, just... really, really annoying at times...
Speaking of which... I've finally reached the end of .hack//INFECTION. So I go into the final dungeon, right? And I have no problems whatsoever beating the enemies, right? So, I, like figure: "Hey. This boss is going to be _NO_ problem!"
... he killed me in FOUR seconds.
BAM. I'm dead: "Mistral! First Aid!" BAM. Mistral's dead: "Blackrose! First Aid!" BAM. Game Over.
It's a sad, sad story. I've got a lot of level building to do. *shakes head sadly*
Oooh man, Christmas break is full of shtuff:
20th: Rebecca's Birthday Party
21-22nd: Adam and Justin's Christmas Party
23rd: Caroling
24th: work + family stuff
25th: Christmas
27-28th: Lindsay's 'Depp-a-thon'
1st: Metal Gear Solid Christmas/New Years Party
2-4th: Ryuuguu Meetings
I've got, at most, two free days to enjoy my Christmas gifts. And did I mention I'm working almost every single one of those days. Hallelujia!
