Listens: NYC's Like a Grave Yard; The Moldy Peaches

For the record, I still dislike Ayn Rand but I agree with 10% of what she said. D:

I'm bored as rocks and kind of too sad for a Friday night. T__T I want to drink Gin so badly but my kidneys will FAIL.

INSTEAD, IT'S OLD MEME TIME!!!! It's always fun to do again! My opinions may have changed! :D
Give me any fandom we have in common and I'll tell you:
1. The first character I first fell in love with
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer
6. The character I would shag anytime
7. The character I'd want to be like
8. The character I'd slap
9. A pairing that I love
10. A pairing that I despise

On another note, remember those download posts I used to do? Well imagine that but times, like, a LOT. That's what I'm trying to do with my:

MULTIPLY ACCOUNT!!!!

Murder by Death (sort of country, sort of alternarock. SORT OF THE BEST THING EVER)
The Velvet Teen ("Baroque" rock, whatever that means. Responsible for my OTHER favorite song ever, 'Chimera Obscurant')
October Project (um, kind of folky and fantasy and beautiful, my goodness!)
Sarah McLachlan's first three albums because they're amazing and no one ever seems to have heard any music from them
Susan Aglukark (once again, very folky and lots of Inuit mythos! :D)
Hot Shot Robots (local indie band, very over-produced synthesizers and rockin' beats)
The Lion King: Rythym of the Pridelands (special tracks from the movie, musical and vocals of the BGM)
Wheel of Time (I don't even know if these songs are correctly titled or what. Whether you like the books or not, it's all very lovely instrumentals)
Final Fantasy IV Celtic Moon (celtic remixes of FFIV tracks)
Sarah Brightman's pop music (my two favorite albums of hers: Dive, with an ocean theme and Harem with a desert riff)
VAST (concentrated CREEPY AWESOME. Mostly uploaded for you, Kai, if you're reading this ♥ sorry it took me so long)
Over the Rhine (hrm. I'm not even sure what you'd call this. It's soft alternative, I guess? Pretty stuff ^__^)
Shiny Toy Guns (gorgeous, gorgeous... club music? I don't even know. It SOUNDS Shiny, like stuff you'd want to dance and bounce around to but there's this melancholy thread winding through a lot of it)
Regina Spektor (cute, clever alternapop. Lots of piano and weirdness abounds)

CURRENTLY UPLOADING. LIKE, RIGHT NOW
Xenogears: Cried (super intense celtic-issssh remixes of several tracks from Xenogears)
The Dresden Dolls (JUST DOWNLOAD THEM, DAMMNIT! Biting, sardonic, bitter cabaret-punk. WITH TOTALLY ROCKING PIANO. JUS' SAYIN')

The nice thing about Multiply is that you can listen to all the music BEFORE you download it. Making an account is free and doesn't require you DO anything, however if you don't want to make an account just for downloading music from me, my dearest friend drummer_food has kindly allowed me to lend out her "free account". The username is: openopen and the password is, uh: openopen.

I've been re-reading Watchmen all day. I mean, like, thoroughly re-reading. I forgot what a damn powerful story it was. o__O I've had a lot of people say to me: "I dunno, it's okay but I probably would have enjoyed it more were it a novel" which I used to just kind of nod and go: "okay, sure." to, but then I re-read it and remembered how staggeringly beautiful and cinematic the art was, and how ingenious a lot of the subtle visual imagrey is. I mean, stuff like how Ozymandias literally has blood on his hands throughout the entirety of issue 12 would just be dumb and cliche if a prose author pointed it out, however as part of the art, it's actually quite clever. AND I NEVER NOTICED BEFORE. HOW THE BLOTS ON RORSCHACH'S MASK SOMETIMES MIRROR THE ACTION IN THE STORY. And he has specific "blots" to express confusion, determination, ect. ect. It's adorable and completely pointless, but the comic is just that much richer for it.

Oh, Watchmen movie. Please don't suck as much as you probably can and will. Because there is about a 1% margin that you will actually adequately capture the mood, emotion and themes of the story and I'm just going to hope, hope, hope that...

.... no one lets Tom Cruise anywhere near the production. it's unlikely but he has expressed interest in playing Ozymadias omgNO.
