Well, here we are again. To tell the truth, I never really meant to stop collecting, but they kind of lost me during all the Dreamcast adaptions.
... and now they want to work Sonic X into the storyline. Um, hello? Justin Garbie? That's impossible considering how FAR the characters are from their Sega selves. ESPECIALLY Tails and Knuckles. *arghs*
Oh, yes, the comic.
The cover is very pretty. Spaz, you're my hero. Always have been, always will be. ^ ^
Okay, I hate to say it--- but I think I like where they're going with the story. I hope this doesn't all turn out to be some huge "trick", because what Sonic returned home to find is very, very interesting and very progressive. I've found that the comic veers away from change sometimes, frightened. I mean, yeah they killed of Robotnik in issue 50. And by breaking out of the old formula, they created one of the most AMAZING arcs in the story. Then they chickened out and attempted to return to the old formula. Tails and Sonic adventure "foibles", and eventually bringing Robotnik back. Yeech.
The pacing is still way off. You'd imagine that since they're back to full issue stories that problem would be fixed, but things still happen way, way too fast. It's like the comic has ADD. "Hey! Look at this! No, now look at THIS!". I mean, yeah they're trying to show us a whole cavalcade of plot development... but it could have been done with a tad more grace. I remember stories half this length that felt twice as long.

Geoffrey and Hershey- man, I called that back in issue fifty something. I am SO good. ^ ^
I miss Elias. I missed what happened to him as well. According to Adam the "pansy ran away because he didn't want to be king and got married in some town."
Me: "... what?"
So I'm kind of lost on that plot point.
I'm always happy to see Knuckles and the crew. ^ ^
I am REALLY interested in seeing what's up with Antoine. He's one of my favorite characters. About time they did something with him!
And the Sonic Grams page promised that we'll finally be seeing "Mobius: 25 years later".
*pause*
Man, did I pick up the comics again at the right time or what!? You know what this means- Knuckles in a snazzy hat, mass chaos and LARA-SU!
I'm back and I'm glad. Sonic, I'm sorry I left you in the first place! I promise no matter how much Sega burdens you down with game tie ins that really belong in (and deserve) they're own series, I'll love you unconditionally anyways. ^ ^

I picked up the latest issue of PSM yesterday, since I can't find EGM's holiday issue anywhere.
I want Sonic Heroes. Like, now. The last time I played a Sonic game when it was new was when Sonic 3D Blast came out for the Game Gear. And, um, that game sucked.
And Defiance is apparently alive and kicking. Leslie is going to kill me because I forgot to bring the magazine with it's massive amount of Kain and Raziel butt kicking, soul sucking goodness!
Mmm, Soul Toast!
