- aside from how awesome he is, Serpico's random unecessary exposition session about his and Farnese's ANGSTY BACKSTORY(tm) has probably been my favorite thing in the second part of the manga so far.
The tone of the manga is changing in bizarre ways as well. It's remarkably less dark and gritty what with the magic and the adorable and Puck and the kids, but uh, I still like it. As much as I dig the angst and goreand Griffith. EVERYONE SHOULD BE READING THIS MANGA, OKAY? OKAY!
So we were waiting nearly two and a half hours for a cab home last night. Which was pretty bad, but not as bad as it could have been considering:
a) I had the BEST FUCKING TERIYAKI NOODLES IN THE WORLD. I'm not even kidding. Omg.
b) A toothless old man played a rousing rendition of 'Goodbye to Nova Scotia' for us on his neon pink plastic Recorder.
c) We got to see a cabby beat the shit out of some idiot in the middle of the street. An idiot who, consequently, had been hassling us at the bar.
d) Leslie, Becca and I serenaded the night with a poorly executed round of 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. Because, um. I got nothing. We're awesome.
AND THAT WAS MY WEEKEND IN A NUTSHELL. I DESERVE COLA AND COMICS TODAY. OH SUNDAY, HOW I LOVE YOU. THIIIIIIIS MUCH.
