Turn Around Bright Eyes
Amunhotep
Mentuhotep
I still haven't decided which one of those names I'm using.
Oops, sorry. NaNoWriMo eating my head. Since I'm writing about Omoidasu, I had to think of a cheap way to give the ancient Egypt part of his story more substance. So... I gave him siblings!
Oh, am I working on cliches or WHAT!
Omoidasu (or Ahmose as he's called right now. Kind of strange, considering he's not called Omoidasu until over halfway through the story) is kinda the Ramza of his family. He has two older brothers, Hebeny and Mentuhotep (oh yes, I've decided) and a younger sister, Meskenit. They're all full gryphons, though. ^ ^ Omoidasu's a little freakling all in his own class.
Meskenit is a brat (and annoying. Why must I write her so?) And Mentuhotep and Hebeny are... well, imagine that Dycedarg was younger than Zalbag and you get the idea.
My word count is at 3,499. I figure if I write at least 2,000 words a night, I'll make the deadline.
Talking about my one month novel makes me happy. Today, I am not happy. I am sick and want to go home, but just remembered that I can't go home because we're starting a new subject in Math today and if I miss one more PAL class I'll get kicked out. I feel like school is such a mess. I promised myself I would be more dedicated this year, but... but...
... but I suck at keeping promises that I make to myself. I guess school just doesn't matter that much to me anymore.
And I just failed a Chem quiz like anything. I'm not kidding- I haven't failed that badly since Quantum Mechanics last November. And we're doing Kenetics! It's all graphs and long answer essay questions- easy stuff, but I have a problem keeping all the different diagrams straight. -.-;;
Graphing Calculators are confusing. Gregory lent me his for my quiz (not that I made much good use of it). Too. Many. Functions. I like my good ol', chunky Casio with it's 39 different modes (including the one where the laws of mathematics stop making sense!).
Qemanub.
That's a funny name. ^ ^ I like ancient Egyptian names- unfortunately, they're impossible to pronounce. Considering how much Omoidasu travels in his life I think that I'm going to be doing a lot of cultural and language research in the next few weeks.
Key Places: Egypt, Mesopotamia, Japan (a mixture of fuedal and modern. o.O Go Gladi'ole), Renassiance Italy and India.
Oops, I just discovered that Hebeny is a female name (curse the site that told me it wasn't!)
Hence, Hebeny's name will change to Hekanakhte.
I'll post what I have done of my NaNoWriMo novel tommorow. And I'll kick Leslie to get started on hers.
