OH MY GOD BUSY WEEKEND WHAT THE HELL.
Here I was, thinking that I was going to have some free time this weekend- on Saturday, at the very least. In retrospect, it's not exactly a tradgedy as I haven't been this happy in weeks, but I'm just so thoroughly exhausted . I also haven't been this productive in weeks.
Saturday was supposed to be my slow day, but most of it got eaten up doing a favour for Leslie which ended up not being much of a favour at all since I kinda, sorta ruined everything in the end anyways (OOPS. YAY GRAVITY). Suffice to say that I'm never shopping at 'Odessy 2000' again because although, being that it's a small business, he had every right to refuse to take the game back, but NO right to be as rude (and dare I say downright MEAN) about it.
BUT HEY, IT'S OKAY. XDD
I went home and moped and bought wrapping paper and watched 'The Sound of Music' in it's entirety because I'm lame like that.
Today I woke up and felt violently ill and voiceless for about two and a half hours. My voice was gone until after lunch, but I ended up going to the flea market with Caily, Cat and Natasha because, HELL, I really needed to buy my parent's Christmas gifts (WHICH I DID AND THEY ARE AWESOME). Which was probably not the smartest thing to do but...
... Sunday night is for partying down. XD Gregory's Secret Santa Christmas party was, as usual, fanastic and full of positive, seasonal ambience. His mother made the most AMAZING homemade apple cider. I lack to vocabulary to describe it's greatness. Ashley was my secret santa and she gave me a beautifully wrapped assortment of... things (notebook. gaudy jewely ♥ a mug, a mirror, hanging, sun craft... thing that's really awesome). Leslie wore her pirate flag as a cape and all was merry and bright.
Immediately following the Christmas bash, we headed over to Rebecca's for her birthday party, which was an 'Impromtu Salon' (a very random Cabaret-esque... thing) held in her basement. My performance sucked because I more or less made it up on the spot, but there were some REALLY fantastic moments tonight. Rebecca sung 'Famous Blue Raincoat' A Capella, followed by her performance of 'Hallelujah' with Hannah on piano. Leslie got out her guitar and led the entire party in the singing of 'Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds'. Gregory did a formal lecture on the evils of The Dog in duck hunt, and Kenzie taught us the proper method of eating a cinnamon roll (a lesson that was rudely interrupted by Leslie lunging forwards halfway through, grabbing the entire roll and shoving it in her mouth much to Kenzie's dismay).
The last "act" was, once again, Rebecca (IT WAS HER BIRTHDAY AFTERALL) doing a cover of 'Over the Moon' in which she proceeded to rocks the collective socks of the party and sound more or less EXACTLY like Idina Menzel (except more Rebecca-ey... if that makes sense. O___O).
ALL IN ALL, DESPITE THE ROCKY PLACES, THIS WAS AN AMAZING WEEKEND. CHRISTMAS WILL HAVE TO WORK VERY HARD TO COMPARE.
Oh yeah, Rebecca. I forgot the last part of your birthday present- I owe you liqour. I was going to buy you some coolers but I ran out of money considering your gift cost, like, THIIIIIIIS much (but it was well worth, oh was it well worth it). So, I owe you liquour since you still have to wait one year. But at least now you can legally buy porn. Or star in it. Or star in porn, and then buy the porn you star in because you KNOW you would do something like that.
AND THAT WAS AN UPDATE ON MY BORING LIFE. LOLOLOLZ.
♥, Jenn
