I'm thrilled that Ender's Game is every bit the same fucking AWESOME novel it was the first two times I read it. I mean, I already know how Ender overcomes everything. I know every move he makes, every trial he bests and, most importantly of all, I know the "OMGTWIST!!" ending.
But I still find myself hanging on every single word in breathless anticipation of the next brilliant manipulation or hard-fought battle or twist in the mind games.
As much as I tend to cite Ender's Shadow amd Speaker for the Dead as my favorite installations in the series, there is NOTHING like the original. Ender's Game simply has to be one of the best novels ever written. Period.
*ahem* And that was your yearly dosage of Orson Scott Card fangirling. I hope you made the most of it. XDYOU HAVEN'T READ ENDER'S GAME BEFORE!?!?!?! WHAT KIND OF HORRIBLE, UNENLIGHTENED, TURASSIC PERIOD EARTH ARE YOU LIVING ON!? THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS PANGEA ANYMORE! GO READ IT NOW OR... UM... I'LL WRITE IN CAPSLOCK SOME MORE!!!!!1ELEVENTY21!
patakun- yes, that screenshot made me wet my pants too. Metaphorically of course, since I'm way cooler than you and wouldn't ever actually wet my pants. But still.... *squee*
