Angst and Geekery. Ignore the former.
I really hate the way I make myself miserable. I sat around all day waiting for a call, only to discover that the plans I had made apparently no longer included me. I probably shouldn't be upset- they probably just assumed that I didn't want to come anymore or something. I must just be cranky since I didn't get to sleep until seven thirty this morning, and for some reason everyone's been really canky at me for sleeping in.
So to end this post on a not-so-sour note, I present to you the FIVE DORKY THINGS! meme, for which
crazy_toffee tagged me for. I am so unbelieviably and undeniably GEEKY that it was very difficult for me to isolate anything. But I did. I tag no one back because I'm a lazy bitch that way.
1: On Musicals... I am a dork because I sing along to every song in almost every Disney movie released after 1989. On top of this, I can SPEAK along to the scripts of 'The Lion King' and 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame'. And to seperate this from mild nostalgic love of Disney to true dorkdom, I also once played Zazu in a stage version of The Lion King. I eventually graduated from Disney to Broadway, and am not ashamed to admit that I know at least five stage musicals (including, omg, Les Miserables and RENT) start to finish.
2: On Video Games... I am a dork because I have beaten Final Fantasy VII beginning to end twenty one times. I have memorized the script in certain places and have at one time or another gotten everyone's limit breaks including Aerith's. I have played Metal Gear Solid start to finish at least fifteen times and regularly act out random passages from the game with my friends. My friend Leslie and I do the Snake-Otacon 'Philantrophy' handshake because we're lame like that.
3: On Cosplaying... I own a Hogwarts outfit, complete with tie, wand, quill, official Hogwarts notebook and a necklace with a slytherin crest on it. I own a Naruto forehead protector and wear it in public almost everyday. I dress up for book releases and opening day movies- mostly Star Wars, where I don a Sith cloak and a red lightsaber and go around calling myself "Darth Sparky". And yes, I cosplay to school once in a while. Oh man, does THAT ever get mixed reactions. o__O
4: On Interior Decorating... The walls, and a good chunk of the ceiling, in my room are absolutely PLASTERED in posters, drawings, photos and magazine cutouts. Almost all of these are geeky in nature- X-Files posters, Digimon fanart, Cardcaptor Sakura Clow Cards, home made Ryuuguu posters, Dragonball Z paraphanalia, foldouts of random games from old issues of EGM, grade nine art projects, Xenogears doujinshi scans, giant pictures of Sith Lords, Sailormoon ads from 1996 and artwork from ten years worth of Tolkien Calendars are just a few of the exciting things decorating my bedroom.
5: On Writing... I write at least a thousand words every day. Most of it is crap, but it's still the best way to end the day in my opinion. Also, my greatest feat of dorkitude falls under this category... in my spare time... I write essays... for fun. Yes, you read that correctly. FOR FUN.
