I'm Jenn. S'up.
It's been eight million and a half years since I have made a decent lj-post.
Hi. It's summer vacation. I'm enjoying myself for the most part. I have a room mate now, which is exciting since he brought cool stuff when he moved in and now our living room is super awesome like YO. In true geeky fashion, we now have four systems hooked up to the TV, a whole book shelf full of manga, video games and anime and a karaoke machine sitting in the corner. It's all very marvelous.
I've been doing summery things. Busking practice, fanfiction, RPGing. Tim took Dawn and I to see the Internation Tattoo last week, which was jawsomely jawsome. Some of the highlights included: the Russian Dancers (and their musician), acrobats/fire performers from Kenya (holy shit were they ever FANTASTIC) and Celtic New Zelanders who performed songs that used musical influences from both native Celtic and Native New Zeland cultures.
My mom took me out shopping for cosplay stuff today. I am slowly, but surely, amassing a pretty decent Ed-costume.
One Red Jacket (I'll have Caily help me make this at some point)
Really Shiny Black Pants
Loose, black tank top
Black over coat, too small, with white hems
Belt (?? Leslie, you said you might have something?)
State Alchemist Watch (I love you, Ashley. It will be safe with me!)
White gloves, wrist length
Combat boots (soon to be drastically altered)
WANTED: Sibling in a giant suit of armour
I'm thinking that if I get my Ed cosplay together and in working order with tons of time to spare, I might try to assemble a Temari cosplay for the second day of the convention. I'd need a wig and a giant freaking fan for that one though. o__OHEY. CAN ANYONE GUESS THE CONNECTION BETWEEN THOSE TWO CHARACTERS. *is a loser*
Um, yeah. Life exists.
I was on the bus today and saw a 60-80 year old woman reading a teen magazine. Am I just a horrible, nosy person, or does anyone else find this odd?
And my new avatar wins. No arguments.
