WOW! A POST ABOUT MY REAL LIFE! IMAGINE THAT!
So, I woke up at 8:36 this morning and was all like: "OH CRAP! I'M GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!!!!!" I was halfway through throwing on my clothes when I realized that:
a) It's Saturday
b) It's summer vacation
c) I'm done grade twelve
So yeah. I lost majorly at life today. I went up to the library and stuffed myself into a corner to read random stuff about Egyptian History, contemporary gay authors' influence on modern literature and the first twenty pages of Pnin by Nabokov. I stayed until the library got too busy for my tastes and was sad because I can't use my library card. Nor can I find any music by Gowan. Both of these are irreperable tradgedies of sadness.
So I moped around a bit, bought junk food and went down to Dawn's apartment to sulk about how new chapters of Naruto aren't coming out fast enough. T___T
And then all of a sudden I had a MAD BURST OF ENERGY! I convinced Dawn and Tim that we should do something REALLY RANDOM!!!! like going downtown and buying ice cream. We got as far as the Mumford Terminal and decided to go bowling instead. I suck so bad at bowling, but we had tons of fun anyways- the alley was all dark and glowly and disco lighty, so I didn't really care how much Tim totally wiped the floor with us. I got a 60 in one of our games, which is technically the best game I've ever bowled, so nyah. XD
We walked all the way home and bought slushies, then went to Tim's to watch Teen Titans... which is a disturbingly good show. I have issues processing how good it really is. I mean, it's a modern Saturday morning cartoon. A modern DC saturday morning cartoon at that. o__O
So, uh, in the end... it's summer vacation and suddenly I am enjoying myself. Although I HATE the heat (God, walking home from the library today was absolutely unbearable), I love, love, love the freedom of just being able to do random shit like go bowling in the middle of the day for no apparent reason. *dance dance*
I still don't feel like I'm a graduate, though. I don't even feel like I'm on summer vacation. o__O Must be those exams hanging over my head. Not that those have ever caused me any particular angst before now.
