Happyity Birthday To Me
Wow. I'm seventeen.
Not as bad as I thought, I don't exactly feel any different. o.O
I'm going to Rocky Horror Show tonight. I didn't really have much to dress up in (could you believe that I can't find fishnets ANYWHERES!? My mom and I went on a mad search for them Sat. night). I threw on a frilly black skirt and a red lacey shirt with typical Jenn Fwoosh arms (my uncle calls it my 'Queen Amidala' look.) Rebecca says I have a 'gothic Lolita' look. I just kind of blinked and thought "I'm a miserable seductress who's into older men. Um, sure. Okay." But since Rebecca's been obsessed with the look lately, I'm sure it was a compliment.
I should be more vocal. It's my birthday. Um. Whee and stuff.
My dad said the he would put $50 towards my PS@! ^ ^ Which means I'm getting it... uh... soonish. Now THERE'S a thought that makes me happy. Oh, I cannot WAIT until I get a PS2. There are SOOOO many games I need to play to catch up with the community.
Here my basic To Buy list:
1. MGS:SOL Substance
2. .hack//games
3. Legacy of Kain: Defiance
4. Devil May Cry I + II
5. FFX and X-2
6. Zone of the Enders and Second Runner
7. Xenosaga (and eventually Jenseits von Gut und Boese)
8. Fighting Games; Tekken 4, SC II and Bloody Roar 3
9. FFXI plus all that... uh, stuff that goes with it
There's a few things I'm "maybe-ing" at. I'm a bit interested in the Jak and Daxter games. Mostly because my Mom's like, the BIGGEST Crash fan in the world. When I told her the new Crash game sucked, but Naughty Dog dipped their fingers in something else she was all like: "Well, if Naughty Dog made it, it MUST be good." I should be nice and keep her placated.
Yeah, I'm just making excuses because I don't want to make it seem like I want to buy a Platformer. -.-;; I mean... *cough*
I really, really really cannot WAIT until Snake Eater comes out. And the new Star Ocean game looks pretty nifty as well. I'm glad I'm sticking with Sony. I mean, sure Twin Snakes is going to the GC *sobs uncontrollably at the beauty of it all*, and X-Box *shudder* is getting all those cool Star Wars License games (I. Want. To. Play. KotOR. *twitch*) but us Sony loyalists still get by FAR the best line up. Even if Metroid Prime is trippy. ^ ^
I'm ranting a lot about Video Games. It's been a while- I think I'm just feeling the adreneline rush of actually BEING in the throngs of next-gen gaming rather than observing. I went into EB the other day and for once felt like I belonged. *sigh*
I feel like doing a lj-cut. Let's talk about Xenosaga
I really want to know who this guy is. There are a few theories floating around between my friends and I. Maybe he's, uh, like chaos (whatever chaos is. Angel? Genderless Gnosis? Ship Eunich?). Or, like, the opposite of chaos. Or, like, Allen gone evil (^ ^). Or, like, the missing URTV (666, 667... 669?). Or, like, another android. Or, like, something totally unexpected. The only thing I'm certain of is that he does crazy screen caps! Though no one will ever tirumph Albedo in *that* particular category. *blink blink* What the hell is going on in that scene anyways? I think I really, REALLY want to play XSII because these screen caps confuse me so. -.-;; Oh, and there's Jr., who'd better damn well stop aging if he knows what's good for him *shakes fist*.
Say hello to the new Shion and KOS-MOS, neither of whom look a THING like they did in the last game for reasons possibly beyond our comprhension. But then again, do we really comprehend anything? Or do we just pretend we understand each other in a vain attempt to garner "intimacy" with our fellow humankind? Do we really exist? Does it really matter? If a tree falls in a forest, and no one is around to hear, will it make a sound? Will Jr. Be hot when he grows up?
