MUSIC DOWNLOAD DAY!

(Since I promised Ashley that once I got my computer working again I'd do one right away.)

This week I've selected some of the more mainstream songs on my playlist. You may have heard *of* these before, but it's quite possible that you've never actually *heard* them. And that's a shame.

Civil War
Guns n' Roses
This song is awesome. Just. So... awesome. Guns n' Roses is one of those bands I tend to be very bipolar about. Either I think they're music is absolutely FANTASTIC!!!!!11one!! or I think that it's an utter mess. This is one of their fantastic songs. It's just that *powerful* kind of rock music that you can never quite get sick of because the emotional and lyrical pathos is so perfect. Songs like this is why the band is considered one of the best rock bands of all time. I'm not doing a very good job of selling this song, but even if you *think* you don't like Guns n' Roses, give this one a try because it's the band at their best. And their best is pretty f'ing good.
"What's so civil about war anyways?"

Don't Fear the Reaper
Blue Oyster Cult
This is a remix of the original, but it's still really good in that kind of club-ey way. This is very retro, very early 90's, very prog-ish and very, very catchy. It's got that cool layered voice effect and despite being a bit of a dance song, it's got that pleasantly bitter tone to it that I always appreciate in dance music (think Missing by Everything But the Girl). Oh, oh and there's this cool bridge in the middle with a screwed up electirc guitar and lots of cool techno-noises! *gush gush* And the lyrics are so... poetic. Sort of. Yeah. So if you want a song to listen to that just radiates *COOL* I definitely recommend this one!

Sleepwalker
The Wallflowers
Ahhh, what to say about this song. It was a big hit a few years back, but like most hits in the late 90's most people just forgot it existed once rap became cool. This is one of my favorite songs of all time. I love it so, so, so much. Unfortuantely, I can't really think of any good reason for my unconditional love. It's an excellent song- great instruments, great lyrics, great melody and Bob Dylan's son all in one three and a half minute package. Past that, however, I can't explain what makes this song better than all the other songs out there. Except that it is. So, you're just going to have to take this one on pure recommendation from me. Trust me- it's amazing!

Comment if you download, comment if you missed a song, comment if you *liked* the music and, as always, enjoy! ^___^

My computer is, for the most part, back to normal thanks to Steppy being amazing and making AdAware accesible for me. 55 pieces of spyware. I'd be shocked and appaled if I hadn't seen AdAware clear over 1,000 files off people's computers before.

So my computer works again (with nearly a gig of free space to boot. Whoo). And I am sick. Really, really sick. Fever, flu, aches, sore throat throw up, the works. I'm a freaking model for a flu-medicine commercial. This is where I regret skipping so much school because if I'm sick tommorow I *have* to go. Seriously. No choice in the matter. Well, hopefully some people I don't like will catch my bug at the very leasy. -__-;;

And, uh. Cat's bithday party was yesterday. It was majorly awesome even though it didn't exactly work out the way it was planned- she meant to have it outside, but nature was all like: "AHH! YOU LIVE IN THE MARITIMES!" *insert rain and cold*. But we played lots of Harvest Moon and old NES games. And Power Rangers... on the Game Gear. ^____^ So I think everyone enjoyed themselves- I got even sicker by dragging myself there, but in the end I'm glad since I like my friends and if I hadn't shown up I wouldn't have gotten any of that IN-FUCKING-CREDIBLE pasta Natasha brought.

Uh, the end.

PS:I really hated Gandia's battle system. Why does the sequel have to be EXACTLY the same thing? T__T My life isn't fair. *emo*
