If you’re cooking for or hosting a holiday event where someone who’s celiac is joining – or any guest who has a severe food allergy – there are a few steps you can take that will go a long way to helping your guests feel welcome!

In my experience most people living without food allergies genuinely want to be supportive, but they don’t know where to start. If that’s you, you’ve come to the right place.

By following the checklist below, your celiac/food allergy guests will be amazed by how thoughtful you are. They will probably feel so cared for and included that they will not only be in a mood to celebrate, their joy will bring the mood of your holiday event up a notch!

Now I realize hosting is a lot of work. I’ve written this not to add more work to your plate, but to suggest small but significant gestures that will let your guests know that you value having them there. Bite off as much as you can chew, but don’t stress if you aren’t able to do everything. This list has something for everyone. I’ve also included a PDF to download and keep on-hand.
