fight off the lethargy, don't go quietly [userpic]

current song: the magnetic fields- "the trouble i've been looking for"

m3p3 is now in new hands. And I've accepted it. It's actually kind of a relief, because it's done and we turned it over to people I trust.

Mother's Day was nice, actually. Even though I had to get up early it was just... nice. Good times. My grandma had her picture taken at the St. Peter "Pearly Gates" and WOW was that just wrong (yet funny) on a number of levels. The Morster also brought me food, so for the last few days I've been living off of angel food cake and almonds. Mmmm. Though the cake is gone now, and has been replaced by strawberries.

I finished all of the (28) episodes of The Office (US) in less than 24 hours last week. And I think it's time to start again. It's so terribly awkward and grating, but just addictive. And yay for Jim. And Dwight. And... all of the minor characters.

It's been "covers" week over at audiography and I'm sick of it. Talk about too many posts. :/

Today was worthless in terms of "last days of classes"- We ended up not having the final or having to turn in journals in SD, so after five minutes of filling out the course evaluations we were out of there. In Geography the normally 1.5-hour, hand-cramp-inducing lecture was cut down to under fifteen minutes, then course evaluations, and a list of themes to study for the final. Just over thirty minutes into the two-hour-long class and we were let out.

Tutoring is apparently back on for this week too. So yay extra money.

AND, for the first time ALL YEAR all of my homework (three papers) was done before 10:30. I actually wrote two of them yesterday, which is almost unheard of for me. My favorite part is that now, the day before my last day of classes ever, I decide to not procrastinate. Just... wonderful.

TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY OF CLASSES EVER. I'm so ready. Plus I think the application is going to go out tomorrow, so that's really exciting and scary and wonderful.

current song: felina- "quiero"

We had the in-class "attack"/"final exam" in SD on Thursday. It was slightly scary, but at the same time I was laughing the whole time. And I think I accidentally hit him at least once. Oops. Anyway, that's pretty much all done with.

Also- last Thursday and Friday of classes ever. (Now is the time when my countdown mode goes into full swing, so I'll try to refrain from posting about all of the "lasts" as much as possible.)

I got the recommendation back from Adolfo and it actually made me cry. It's like a five paragraph essay about me, and it's all positive. I have no idea how that worked out but I suppose I'll take it. Though it does kind of suck because now I feel as though I have to work especially hard this last week to live up to the praise.:/

Last night I finally found almost all of the U.S. version of The Office on the school network, so I stayed up until really late/early watching. I've made it to s2e10. And it really is just too cute. There will be more discussion of this soon, because what I really need right now is a new obsession (this is actually kind of not sarcastic, since all of my other shows have stopped for the season and I have nothing to watch and lots of time to waste).

And now I have to go shower, because it's Earth Jam day, and I need not only a t-shirt, but also to go listen to Hijos de Banao. I can't even believe they're back! It's awesome, and maybe I can dance a little? (But probably not, since it's in Lund and all.) But either way it's exciting to have a non-college rock (etc.) act at EJ.
