The Columbus Promise: Your Future Starts Now

The Columbus Promise is a community initiative that makes college more accessible for Columbus City Schools graduates. Led by the City of Columbus, Columbus City Schools, I Know I Can, and Columbus State Community College, the program removes the barrier of tuition so more students can pursue college, career success, and brighter futures.

The Columbus Promise Scholarship covers tuition and fees at Columbus State after federal and other eligible aid, plus provides up to $500 per semester for educational expenses. Scholars also receive dedicated advising, career counseling, and support services to help them succeed in college and prepare for in-demand careers.

Choosing the Columbus Promise at Columbus State isn’t a back-up plan—it’s a smart investment in your future. This scholarship helps you save money, avoid student debt, and move confidently toward your goals. Whether your path leads to transferring to a four-year university for a bachelor’s degree or completing a certificate or associate degree at Columbus State, the Columbus Promise makes success more affordable and achievable.
