Juniors wear\u00a0many hats, often in combination! We are students, career women, mothers, and spouses. Juniors join DAR for a variety of reasons and\u00a0have diverse\u00a0interests. We attend meetings, serve on committees,\u00a0subscribe to\u00a0the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dar.org\/national-society\/american-spirit-magazine\/subscribe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">DAR Magazine<\/span><\/em><\/a>, follow the DAR blogs and Facebook pages, and\u00a0much more! By working together for a common goal we forge many\u00a0friendships and\u00a0embrace the endless opportunities for personal and\u00a0professional growth. Juniors are making a difference in their communities\u00a0and the\u00a0world!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The National Junior Membership Committee was established in 1937.\u00a0The goals\u00a0are: to gain new Junior members; to build a well-informed\u00a0Junior membership; to encourage active participation in all phases of DAR service; and\u00a0to support the National Junior Membership\u00a0Committee\u2019s official\u00a0fund-raising project\u2013the Helen Pouch Memorial Fund.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-252\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fssdar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Kangaroo.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"224\" height=\"224\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The Helen Pouch Memorial Fund is the National Junior Membership Committee\u2019s official fundraising project. This fund is named in memory of Helen Pouch (1901-1919) who was the daughter of Mrs. William H. Pouch, the first national chairman of the Junior Membership Committee in 1937, and later President General, 1941-1944. The fund provides scholarships, medical aid, and general financial assistance to the Kate Duncan Smith DAR School in Alabama and four other approved schools.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>Choctawhatchee Bay Chapter enthusiastically supports Junior Membership by encouraging active participation within all levels of the organization.<\/em>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Choctawhatchee Bay Daughters are proud of our Juniors!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Who is a Junior Member?
