Naoki would have told him if he was leaving again, right? Things had just been starting to work out between them again...]

That same someone is nursing a third cup of coffee and is far more jittery than normal after a certain event from the day before. And by jittery I mean his shaking hands come close to spilling the contents of his mug on more than one occasion.

[Hey, this is a familiar look... Except this time the markings are all in paint. Glow in the dark paint, even! Isamu's tried washing it off, but the moment he finishes scrubbing the incredibly hard to remove paint from one arm, it's already restoring itself. Very infuriating.

He doesn't have any intention of staying locked up in the house until this wears off, though. He already knows others have been having similar issues. There's no point in hiding if it's not his fault, right?

Still, if you see him walking around, looking just like he did for the AU event when he was a demi-fiend, you may notice he's purposefully trying to avoid direct contact with others. The journal is another matter.]

So, uh. This isn't actually going to last until Halloween, is it?

[The sound of footsteps as he turns.] Okay, can do.

[This is a terrible idea, and he knows it. Still, Isamu can't stand to be cooped up in his apartment any longer. First chance he got (aided by heightened senses) he snuck out past Naoki and went for a walk through town.

The teen is currently wearing a couple layers of clothing, with basically everything covered - sunglasses, gloves, a scarf over the bottom part of his face... There are earplugs in his ears, but the outside world still seems too noisy, and despite the sunglasses his eyes are watering a little.

He'll be sticking to the edge of the road, in shadier areas, and avoiding the woods.]

Dammit. This is ridiculous.

[It's sometime after he's gotten back from the usual friday morning session at the dojo, and it's pouring down rain outside. Therefore, the logical place for Isamu to be is indoors, maybe reading a book. This, however, is not the case.

After leaving a note for Naoki, Isamu has headed back outside in just a button-up shirt and pants. In the woods not too far from his apartment building, he's currently standing uncovered in the rain. If someone was to watch him, they might catch him occasionally throwing his arms up in the air with a "HA!"... only to have nothing happen.

Though looking discouraged, the teen will continue this for the next while.]

[There's the sound of someone fumbling with their journal before it hits the floor with a loud thud. It falls open, and one might get a view of Isamu's leg hanging off the edge of the bed before he mutters a curse and retrieves it with a shaking hand.

He doesn't seem to realize it's picking anything up as he sets it down across from him. The teen himself is sitting upright in his bed, eyes occasionally darting to either side. He's still dressed in his gi from training this morning, and he's turning his ring around in one hand - the one with the demon design. He seems particularly jumpy.]

[When he was fairly sure the sky was clear of falling trees, Isamu had made his way outside toward the edge of town. It was late, but of the things the teen feared, creatures that went bump in the night weren't part of them. He didn't tell anyone he was leaving. He just went.

Sometime later, he can be found dozing against a light post just at the town's edge. It probably isn't the safest place to be, but he's too tired to bother walking back to the apartment complex just yet. His journal is with him, but it's closed shut.

Isamu had waited in the barracks all morning - done his warm-up routine like usual and then some. It wasn't like Raphael to be late, much less miss a session entirely. The last one had been particularly rough, and he thought there might be something bothering the turtle. Maybe it was the same thing keeping him away now. He almost hoped so, because a couple of the other options left him without a sensei.

There was, of course, only one way to handle this dilemma, and that was by asking around. Loudly and (mostly) publicly over the journals.]

Something seems off about the sound, though, as if the machine is spazzing out, bumping around like no vacuum cleaner is meant to do. Isamu's cursing is drowned out by it at first, but he eventually makes his way closer to the journal.]

--hardly touched... All right fine, you know what? I don't like you either!

[The scream that follows is short ~~and definitely not girly sounding~~. The door to his apartment opens and he's quite literally chased out of it by the possessed device. This, dear people of Luceti, is why you don't attempt to practice electrical magic around electrical appliances, especially when said magic isn't really working properly for you.

Eventually, Isamu slams his foot down on the vacuum cleaner and it comes to a sputtering stop. It may be possible to hear him panting out in the hall.]

He pulls out his notebook as he's headed out the door from community building 7. It's time he checked up on a certain someone. Sadly, he'd forgotten to get Raphael's name...]

[Isamu is out on his own again, this time wandering the open fields just north of town. It takes him a while, but he eventually finds a nice flat rock to sit on. He sets his notebook beside him, sits cross-legged with his hands on his knees, and closes his eyes.

After about a minute of this, he's already feeling ridiculous.]

Come on, spirit things...

[They apparently helped people with this sort of thing in the school, but he wasn't sitting through any classes he didn't have to. Besides, he'd mastered the Amala Network! What were a couple elemental spirits in comparison to that? Surely he had to have some sort of residual magic ability on him that would make them easier to attract.

If there was any chance he might be able to keep from being absolutely powerless here, he was going to go for it.]

[After a few hours of rest, Isamu is feeling a little more energized. Staying in that apartment with Naoki constantly hovering over him wasn't the way he wanted to spend the entire day. The demi-fiend had given him a fair amount of information, but the only way to figure this place out for real was for him to see it on his own - as much as he was despising the idea of going out in public right now.

He slips out the door at the first opportunity, which doesn't come nearly as soon as he'd hoped it would. Naoki had said everything was free, so the first stop is someplace with clothing (because these white pants weren't staying). He doesn't expect to find his own clothes among the selection, though his ring and necklace are mysteriously absent, and he doesn't waste any time changing into his jeans. He procures himself a backpack for the rest of it, choosing a looser button-up top to cover his torso. The fewer questions he has to deal with, the better.

...And now for food, because he can't help himself. You may now find a hungry pseudo-fiend wandering the aisles of your local grocers.]
