This course explores Catholic Teaching on care for those who are approaching end of life, including redemptive suffering, ordinary and extraordinary means for life support and the moral guidelines for each of these; the importance of advance directives according to Church teaching; the dangers of euthanasia and physician assisted suicide; and the need for a proper, respectful interment of the deceased.
