AI-Controlled Digital Signage

The Screen Is the Last Dumb Endpoint in Your Building.

Every system in a modern organization is API-driven, automatable, and AI-accessible. Except the screens on the walls. CastHub MCP changes that.

CastHub MCP in 90 Seconds

Connected. Controlled. Governed.

What CastHub MCP Is

CastHub MCP is a server built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open standard created by Anthropic that lets AI assistants interact with external tools and data sources. MCP gives large language models the ability to call structured tools, read real-time data, and take actions in the systems you already use.

The CastHub MCP server exposes approximately 45 tools across eight domains that let AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Microsoft Copilot read and write to your digital signage network. Instead of logging into a dashboard, clicking through menus, and uploading files, you describe what you want in plain language. The AI assistant calls the right tools, shows you a preview, waits for confirmation, and executes the change.

This is not a chatbot bolted onto a dashboard. It is a protocol-level integration that gives AI direct, governed access to every operation CastHub supports, from updating a single slide to restarting hardware across your entire fleet.

What Makes This Different

Most signage platforms are adding AI as a feature. CastHub built AI access as the architecture. Here is why that distinction matters.

Architecture, Not Feature Live

CastHub MCP is not a chatbot overlaid on a dashboard. It is a protocol-level integration that exposes approximately 45 structured tools across 8 operational domains. Every operation available in the CastHub platform, from reading device status to scheduling content weeks in advance, is accessible through typed, validated tool calls that any MCP-compatible AI assistant can invoke.

Hardware + Software Control Live

Beyond content management, CastHub MCP integrates with the Amazon Signage API to provide hardware-level control. Restart devices, capture screenshots, check device health (CPU temperature, memory, storage, WiFi signal), toggle display power via HDMI-CEC, and clear cache, all through the same AI conversation.

Governance Built In Live

AI control without guardrails is a risk no IT team should accept. CastHub MCP tools are annotated with ReadOnly, Destructive, and Idempotent hints. Your AI assistant uses those hints to decide when to ask for your confirmation. Read tools run freely. Write and destructive tools, including any change that affects screens or devices, request your explicit confirmation before executing.

Open by Conviction Live

CastHub MCP uses standard protocols, not proprietary APIs. Flat-rate pricing means AI access is included in every plan with no add-on fees, no premium tier, and no per-screen surcharges. Compare that to competitors like Fugo, NoviSign, and Screenly, where AI features vary in scope and pricing model.

Open Signage

The Lock-In Problem

Digital signage has a switching-cost problem. Once you commit to a platform, your content, schedules, device configurations, and team workflows are trapped inside a proprietary dashboard. Migrating to a different vendor means rebuilding everything from scratch, which is why most organizations stay with mediocre tools long after they have outgrown them.

AI is changing this equation. When your signage operations are driven by structured tool calls over an open protocol, the intelligence lives in the AI layer, not in the vendor's UI. Your operational knowledge, the way you handle snow days, update menus, or manage emergency alerts, becomes portable. Switch the underlying signage platform, reconnect the MCP server, and your AI assistant picks up where it left off.

CastHub believes that open protocols and interoperability are not just good engineering; they are good business. When customers stay because the product is excellent rather than because migration is painful, the incentive structure aligns. Better product, better service, genuine loyalty.
