This case concerns the selection and planning of orders from a small industrial titanium fabricator that has been recently plagued by poor deliveries and a lack of capacity. At the time the case is Ti-Tech decide to accept which of the four commands, with a capacity makes it impossible to take all four. Every job is a different mix of work, income, and potential future work. The case forces students to choose among the four orders, as there is limited capacity available, other companies are likely to come along, and the requirements of the order.
