My Barnabas ancestor had a brother. The brother's descendents include the Osmonds. Donald Clark ("DONNIE") OSMOND and .Olive MARIE OSMOND who were born a year before and after my kid sister. Donnie and Marie are 13 generations removed from our common ancestor; as are my under 21 year old neice and nephew. My nephew waited until his sister was out of high school to sing and dance in Guys and Dolls - or maybe it was a matter of more roles for boys. My neice is still acting and singing at her college. (Starmalachite - way beyond our college class productions).

The music tag was going to be Dark Shadows theme. then Luck Be a Lady from Guys and Dolls. But I saw the Movie of Les Miserables last week (wearing my London Les Miz sweatshirt) so anything from the musical..And as ever since seeing the show at in London once I hear one song from the show they all play a medley in my head. (Some times even hearing a Phantom song will start a Les Miz medley because I saw both for the first time in London. (Starmalachite was the first person to mention Les Miz to me)

Also see Les Miserables, 2 nbsp; for interesting comment on the ending of the movie.

For over a week I've been trying to turn my younger sister into a 55 year old. Even after figuring out it won't happen until next year, I was still hooked on 55.

I bought a Hallmark card for a friend whose birthday I knew was coming up at the end of June. I might have searched my pocketbook for a scrap of paper with her address on it if I had had any stamps with me.

Today being Sunday no Post Office service so I put E-mailing another friend {#2} about things I forgot to mention when we had dinner two nights ago on top of to do list. Then I was going to drive a half an hour to the B&N where she's working this afternoon and buy a DVD of the 25th Anniversary PotO Concert that was ordered for me. This would allow me to see her again, get the DVD, and make best use my time for the next week.

However once I got online I checked friend #1 LJ and found Its her birthday - - - -

Interruption by phone call from B&N - 3rd message that my DVD is in.
Took a few minutes to chat with my friend {#2 above} and make another
cup of coffee and see I still had 1/3 of my breakfast to eat. - - --

and she is 55 today. It's also her Fifth Wedding Anniversary.

Happy Birthday to starmalachite http://starmalachite.livejournal.com/ .
Happy Anniversary to starmalachite and stevemb

I don't have any icons to WOW you with, just Mountain from VT. (but have liked a lot of yours Star)

I will be mailing the card to the another word for porch address that I have.

Once got online spent time with Vintage Adds and death of Ray Bradbury, which I had missed, that there is now no time to go to DE and get the DVD before my friend leaves the store.

<strike>C</strike> oops S, one of my grandparents is buried in same cemetery as Lloyd Alexander.

Coffee spillage, not yet on laptop, but on parent's side table from early 1950s. I seem to have the corner pretty well proctected now from minor The-Mug-Is-Fuller-Than-I-Thought-Slops-Over-The-Top spills.

Carrie

I'm still new to LJ so after posting this checked my LJ email and found a reminder for my birthday and starmalachites. Check e-mails more often.

I had moments of harder shakes when jackhammers dug up street outside this summer to get at water pipes but then there was the sound and it gradually got closer as they made a trough in the street. By the time I realized what it was and picked which doorway to go to, put the laptop down, got out of the Lazyboy and stood up the shaking was over. Turned on TV, no news or even a ticker, but by time I was getting my slow net connection CBS3 (yes that still seems wrong) had reports. Then I watched more info slowly appear on the net.
