Carpet Can Be Recycled!

If taken to the right place, carpet can be recycled in a variety of useful new products. The CARE California Drop-off Site map (below) will help you find a place to take your old carpet to be recycled. Enter a drop-off site’s name, city or zip code, or simply zoom into your location on the map below to find the best site for you. Click here if you are looking for sites outside of California.

Please note:

• Area rugs are not covered under the CARE Program and therefore are not accepted.
• Carpet that is damaged by water, smoke or fire cannot be recycled.

CARE provides service and support to dozens of drop-off locations throughout the state of California. Sites participating in the CARE Drop-Off Site Program are marked on the map with a green pin; independent sites are marked with a gray pin; the blue pin indicates independent sites that take carpet from large retailers/installers. CARE is working continuously to add more drop-off sites.

Note: Every effort is made to make the information on the map accurate and up to date. However tip fees are subject to change and we recommend checking business hours and fees and confirming types of carpet accepted before your visit. Some locations may require an appointment and/or proof of residency.
