I read Bob Rae's Substack essays because his long experience in Canadian politics, from a serving Member of Parliament to the Premier of Ontario and most lately as our United Nations Ambassador provides a balanced, mature and progressive view of why people and certain countries behave like we do. He is a thinker, a reader, a piano player, and he and Rick Mercer leapt, both starkers, off a dock into a lake on CBC TV once upon a time. That's what I mean by "balanced"!
Sharing ideas about creativity, sustainability, and innovation in the garden, with occasional diversions into art, the wilds, and whatever is currently distracting.
For wild and domestic plant lovers, intriguing garden tours in the Pacific Northwest and elsewhere, and great book recommendations check out this Substack by author, editor, botanist, and Tofino-based explorer, Adrienne Mason!
