Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the HADESS Career Coach platform ("Platform", "Service") operated by HADESS ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

Description of Service

HADESS Career Coach is a cybersecurity career guidance platform that provides:

  • Career path recommendations and guidance
  • Skills assessment and development resources
  • Connection with certified cybersecurity coaches
  • Job search and scheduling services
  • Interview preparation and coaching sessions
  • Educational content and knowledge base

User Accounts and Registration

Account Creation

  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
  • One person may maintain only one active account

Account Responsibilities

  • Keep your login credentials confidential
  • Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
  • Update your information when it changes
  • Use the platform only for legitimate career purposes

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the platform responsibly. You may NOT:

  • Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Use automated tools to scrape or data mine
  • Share inappropriate or offensive content
  • Impersonate others or create fake profiles
  • Interfere with platform functionality

Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you upload (resumes, profiles, etc.). By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, revocable license to use, process, and display it solely as necessary to provide our services. This license ends when you delete your content or account.

Our Content

All platform content, features, and functionality are owned by HADESS and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

Coaching Services and Limitations

Our coaching and career guidance services are provided for informational and educational purposes. Please understand:

  • Career recommendations are not guaranteed to be accurate or complete
  • Job matches and opportunities are suggestions, not employment guarantees
  • Coaching advice should be considered alongside other professional guidance
  • Results may vary based on individual circumstances and market conditions
  • Always verify information independently before making career decisions

Subscriptions and Payments

Pro Plan

The Pro Plan is a recurring monthly subscription billed at $1.00 USD per month (including applicable taxes). Payment is processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon cancellation, you retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for the remaining days of an active billing period.

Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your subscription within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason, in accordance with BGB §355. Digital Content Conformity

In accordance with BGB §§327–327u (implementing EU Directive 2019/770), we ensure that the Platform conforms to the agreed specifications for the duration of your subscription. This includes providing necessary updates, including security updates, throughout the contract period. We will inform you in advance of any updates that materially change the Platform's functionality.

Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Our use of cookies is described in our Cookie Policy.

Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement:

  • By You: You may delete your account at any time through your account settings
  • By Us: We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with prior notice where practicable
  • Effect: Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately
  • Data: We may retain certain information as required by law (e.g., tax records per §147 AO) or our Privacy Policy

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, HADESS's liability for slight negligence is limited to the breach of material contractual obligations (Kardinalpflichten), and in such cases limited to the foreseeable, contract-typical damage.

This limitation does not apply to:

  • Liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence
  • Liability for injury to life, body, or health
  • Liability under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz)
  • Any other mandatory statutory liability that cannot be excluded or limited

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. For consumers in the European Union, mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence shall apply where they offer greater protection.

For merchants and legal entities, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Berlin, Germany. For consumers, the statutory provisions on jurisdiction apply, meaning you may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of domicile.

Alternative Dispute Resolution

In accordance with §36 of the German Consumer Dispute Resolution Act (VSBG), we hereby inform you:

We are not obligated and currently not willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle). If you have a complaint, please contact us directly at [email protected] so we can resolve the matter.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Platform at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may terminate your account before they take effect.
