Dear Weather:

You are aware this is the very end of April right? I'm all OK with the April showers and such, we need rain, but can we keep in mind that it is Springtime and we should be grateful and amazed at weather above 60 degrees? So weather, while I'm going to be in Texas for the rest of the month and mocking everyone in Rochester with my 85 degree weather, I would kindly request that you cut it out and start being warm.

CNN is apparently hard up for news if they're reporting that there is indeed no connections between leopards and chili.

Dude. I almost forgot, it's Groundhog's Day! This is a truly important event to a Western Pennsylvanian. We all show our groundhog pride and hike up to Punxy to see the little rodent see his shadow then curse him out for giving us more winter. :P Then the next year we forget that we hated him so the year before and repeat the violent cycle. Actually I've never seen him, but his likeness is always everywhere. :P I remember my friend's Mom used to make groundhog shapped cookies every year and she'd bring us some. And then we'd all fight over who got groundhog cookies. I miss groundhog cookies. :P If you haven't seen Groundhog Day go out and rent it and watch it today. :P

(Anyone who makes fun of Western Pennsylvanians at this point in time will be smacked. Groundhogs rock!)

In other news I think someone crashed all of the Phil sites in revenge for him seeing his shadow...

Pots!

I like the blue mushroom pot the best. The other two kinda suck. I got three others back in my first batch, but they aren't that much greater. My first venture into glazing. :-P The blue mushroom crawled as it was, but it crawled in such a way it actually looked pretty cool. So therefore I love my mushroom. I will have another adventure in glazing and see how it turns out. I have another set of semi-sucky pots to glaze though. I've just started to throw better pots so I won't see the results of them for quite awhile (Must get fired, then glazed, then fired again).

Also...New dress...No boys can look! :) The picture isn't that great, but you get the general idea. It of course looks better actually on me. :P Still have to go shopping for a few miscellaneous things for it. :) Still have to solidify with Ryan and Andy who's going where and when and such.

Okay, I officially bite my tongue. While I still hold that making the Press Secretary the Chief of Staff was still a Bad Plan, they're pulling it off better than I expected them to. I give them cookies. They're doing distinctly better. I still wanna know what they're doing with Leo and I'm still going to be very cranky if they actually make an honest to goodness Josh/Donna relationship.

A day and a half left of work. I'll miss a couple of the people and my relationship with my boss is getting better I think. The two IMLP leaders are still being weird, and now I'm wondering if it was because of the whole deal with my reviews. Jamie yelped at me again today for my final review. It's not as if I can help it my AL has issues getting in my reviews on time. She keeps telling me to write it myself and just CC it to my AL. Does anybody else think this sounds Really Sketchy. Writing my own final review for my boss and sending it in to go into my permanent file that they would look at if I went back for interviews. Yeah, that's not sketchy or anything at all. Arr. Afternoon of meeting tomorrow, mostly IMLP stuff, we'll see if I can wrangle out the real reason why they're being cranky. Jay wants to take me out to lunch tomorrow too. Aww. Nuveen went home to India today. He was a sweetie.

So home on Saturday! And figuring out what to do with myself for two weeks before RIT (And don't say 'Come to Rochester!' Jess. :P :)) It's going to be weird trying to reintegrate myself with school again after six months off. And that whole getting a new job for Spring/Summer. I got ahold of a person from the Army and she said she'd 'look into it'. Erf.

Last Monday morning at work. :)

So I had a flash of, 'Awww, I only have a week left here' and was like, 'Wah? Stop that! You want out!'. So I suppose it wasn't all bad even if it drove me nuts every now and then. My boss keeps swearing up and down I did good things too. *shrugs* She also keeps indicating that being an RIT Engineer is some massively awesome thing. I dunno about that one. :P Weird peoples. But I dunno, maybe I'll ask her to be a reference yet. *shrugs* :P I just know that if I ask her to be a reference and someone actually calls her she'd feel obliged to comment on the fact that I need more energy. :P :) Note to self: Figure out how to seem more energetic even when you're bored out of your ever loving skull. But in other news she also said I could have most of Friday off. W00t. :) I think I'm not feeling quite so bad about the job right now because I've been doing training for the last week and that kind of amuses me.

Made cookies last night to bribe my Dad with when he starts cursing on Saturday because I have too much stuff and packed the boxes too heavy. :P Ate too many of said cookies myself. *beats head on table* :P No wonder I've gained weight in the last six months. Aaaaar. :P

Hmmm. Kay, so my life isn't so exciting. Been arranging housing stuff with the Kira and what not. Read a good chunk more of the series of books that Brittany lent me, finally on the last one. :) What happens in them is fairly predictable, but still, they've got a sticking quality to them that makes them enjoyable. :) (Read: The Belgariad, David Eddings)
