"If you want to be a sheep, then you can be a sheep and that is okay, but you must understand the price you pay. When the wolf comes, you and your loved ones are going to die if there is not a sheepdog there to protect you.
And so the warrior must strive to confront denial in all aspects of his life, and prepare himself for the day when evil comes. If you are warrior who is legally authorized to carry a weapon and you step outside without that weapon, then you become a sheep, pretending that the bad man will not come today. No one can be "on" 24/7, for a lifetime. Everyone needs down time. But if you are authorized to carry a weapon, and you walk outside without it, just take a deep breath, and say this to yourself...
"Baa."

In summary I am a heterosexual, Republican, Pro-Gun, Pro-life, Conservative Christian, Son of Texas. Any questions on where I stand?
What to say here? Hmmmmm. Guess I should tell you who I am. The name is Byron and I live in East Texas. American by birth and Texan by the grace of GOD! I'm 6' tall, 230lbs, blue/grey eyes, and brown hair. I'll be turning 35 in March '09.
I'm now officially spoken for. I married my college sweetheart on June 29th, 2002. I am employed. That sentence used to give a little more detail as to where I work, but frankly I keep seeing people get fired for that sort of thing. It pays the bills and leaves me time to pursue other things. It's not who I am. It's what I do to fund my habits.
The time off gives me time to work on my house and my '62 Thunderbird. "Uma" as she is known is one of the great loves of my life. I love classic Thunderbirds. I had the body of a '55 I was restoring until 2003. I sold it so I could have the downpayment money for my house. It was a trade off since I now have a place to properly work on the '62 Thunderbird.
Recently I have re-ignited my passion for firearms. As a younger man, with no family or financial responsiblities I collected old firearms and restored them. It was fun to me. I love bringing that old gun back to life with new parts and a refinished stock. Marriage, step-kids, a house, and other responsiblities have kept my collecting to a minimum for a few years. Recently I broke my 10 year old Glock out of mothballs after a 4 year hiatus and took up target shooting again. I'm giving serious thought to shooting a few rounds of skeet at the local range. Since December of '06 I have crafted new grips for two of my Dad's old pistols. Its been a blast to get out in the shop again and work.
I am also a card carrying Life Member of the National Rifle Association. I believe strongly in the 2nd Amendment and spend a great deal of my time educating people about it. I beleive in being able to carry a concealed weapon. I support the ability to Open Carry a weapon.
