empty

machines still whir and hiss as though they lived
their metal bellows drew breath for song
delivering human comfort yet little giveRooms are empty within the space
where once our laughter filled the halls
silent footsteps, socks on carpet tread lightly now
a ghostly presence that echoes in my mind where silence falls

haunting and beautiful. I’ve always been jealous of poets as they describe ‘feelings’ with words 🙂 Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such a beautiful comment.
my pleasure, it was fun reading. Thanks for following.
