NNERPP YOUTH VOICE FOR RPPs AWARDS PROGRAM
We are excited to announce the fourth round of NNERPP’s awards program "Youth Voice 4 RPPs" (formerly Student Voice 4 RPPs). This program recognizes, honors, and further supports existing RPP efforts that have a strong interest in and/or currently support youth involvement in RPP work (for the purposes of this awards program, "youth" is defined as young people between the ages of 14 and 24). We have seen amazing youth voice efforts come to life or grow in the previous three rounds of the program and are thrilled to now open applications to a new round.

Through the application process, up to three NNERPP members will be selected for awards of up to $7,500 for further developing, expanding, or strengthening their student involvement strategies. The awards may be used to support a variety of innovative involvement activities including (but not limited to) focus groups, podcasts, videos, multi-media presentations, and other forms of engagement.

We hope that you will join us in this awards program! Please don’t hesitate to
contact Kim Wright, NNERPP Assistant Director, with your questions.

Applications are due January 24, 2025.

REQUEST FOR SUBMISSIONS:
The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching seeks to learn from youth perspectives on what needs to change in high schools and is interested in hearing from youth-led research and design teams, such as Youth-led Participatory Action Research (YPAR) groups, who have completed or are finalizing projects related to any of the following ideas:

•  Goals of schooling: Teach more than just academics.
•  Learning experiences: Make learning more relevant and meaningful.
•
Signals (measures) of learning: Find better ways to capture and communicate what students are learning.

The Carnegie Foundation invites organizations to submit summaries of projects that focus on at least one of these three ideas. Submitted projects will inform the creation of the Carnegie Foundation’s
research and development agenda, which will guide the foundation’s efforts to enable high school transformation. Sharing your work offers an opportunity to contribute to a national agenda to transform high schools and to engage with other youth and adults who are investigating similar challenges. If selected, your work could be featured in the Carnegie Foundation’s virtual convening or written report, broadening the audience for your team’s insights and accomplishments.

here for more guidance and information. Submissions are due Friday, January 10, 2025. For questions, please contact ypar@carnegiefoundation.org.
