LULING, LA (WVUE) - The sight is not uncommon in Louisiana, but this alligator sighting was quite unusual.

Lori Perkins Tassin caught video of the alligator on Hwy. 90 in Luling on Sunday.

You can see it just strolling down the highway and then just decides to take a rest.

St. Charles Parish Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne shared the video on Facebook with the caption, "He passed field sobriety test" and "suspicious character taken into custody."

Keli Perkins, who also shared a video, said she was "too chicken" to get close to the alligator.
